Dr. Eugene R. Cacciamani Jr.
Chief Technology Officer and Director, ProtoStar Satellite Systems
Dr. Cacciamani has over 30 years experience in the satellite industry.  Before joining ProtoStar, Dr. Cacciamani was Senior Vice President of Hughes Network Systems, where he was responsible for the development of new business endeavors and advanced technologies for the company.  Prior to joining Hughes, Dr. Cacciamani was President and Chief Executive Officer of M/A-COMNET, a division of M/A-COM. He has also served as a founder, Vice President of Engineering and Operations at American Satellite Corporation and held several key positions at COMSAT Laboratories and RCA.  Dr. Cacciamani holds M.E.E. and Ph.D degrees from Catholic University and a B.E.E. degree from Union College.  He is a Life Fellow of the I.E.E.E.
